Raw Travel founders Dave & Mel Reynolds have been out at the World Trails conference in Perth this week meeting so many inspiring and extraordinary individuals from all over the world who are behind the different trails we all love. People who’ve innovated long distance trails, manage them and volunteer their time in maintain them from 27 different countries.
From Dave: ‘ It’s been a reminder of all the dedication that goes into imagining and preserving the trails that connect us to cultures, nature and each other.
A universal goal for the World Trails network is trails for peace, how these routes build connection between us, at a time when some would try to divide us. It’s been such a pleasure to meet so many people from so many diverse cultures this week all with a love of trails of all types.’

Meet the Camino Chooks! 🐓🇪🇸💙

A huge congratulations to this fantastic group of women who recently completed our 41-day Full Camino Francés as part of a group trip, walking all the way from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela!

The Chooks are a lovely example of what makes our Camino group trips so special. It's a chance to experience the full Camino journey alongside like-minded travellers, while still enjoying the independence of self-guided walking.

The group had some lovely feedback to share about their accommodation and luggage transfers, with a special shoutout to our very own on-ground support team member, Daniel, for taking such great care of them along the way. Swipe to read! 👉

“We are writing to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our walk. As you know the seaside scenery is amazing and it makes the tough sections worthwhile. The gale force wind and rain did beat us on two days and we opted for the bus for the last 10km into Newquay and the last 10km into Penzance. RAW’s impeccable organisation meant that the logistics of accommodation and luggage transfer flowed seamlessly.”

A little taste of life along England’s South West Coast Path, through the eyes of recent RAW travellers Durham and Vicki. 🥾🌊

The pair covered an impressive 400km from Padstow to Falmouth, following Cornwall’s spectacular coastline past quiet fishing coves, centuries-old villages and the remains of historic tin mines. Along the way, they discovered a landscape rich in history and character, with plenty of stories to uncover beyond the incredible sea views.

A big thank you to Durham and Vicki for sharing their honest reflections and these wonderful moments from the trail!
