Straight from the trail in northern Spain! 🇪🇸🥾

Our Camino Destination Specialist Caleb is currently getting a firsthand taste of the Camino del Norte, walking the opening few days through the Basque Country.

Beginning in San Sebastián, he’s experiencing the Basque Country on foot, where the trail winds through green countryside, rolling hills and coastal villages, with the Bay of Biscay providing quite the backdrop.

There’s a reason we say we know because we go. Being out on the trail gives our Destination Experts firsthand knowledge they simply can’t get from behind a desk, and helps us keep our trips, accommodation and on-the-ground experience at the standard we expect.

From here, Caleb will make his way to the Camino Francés, where he’ll walk the final section into Santiago de Compostela.

Following in the footsteps of pilgrims, all the way from Lausanne to the Great St Bernard Pass. 🥾

RAW Travellers Gabrielle and Andrew Tagg recently completed our 130km Via Francigena walk from Lausanne to the Great St Bernard Pass. 🏔️

Beginning beside Lake Léman, the route winds through the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyards, wine-growing country and historic villages before the landscape becomes increasingly alpine and the trail climbs towards its grand finale: the Great St Bernard Pass at 2,469m.

Well done, Gabrielle and Andrew. What a journey! 👏

A “10/10 walking experience”? You can’t get any better than that! ⭐️🥾

Kerri and five friends recently walked Hadrian’s Wall from west to east, with the group praising their wonderful accommodation, top-notch food and the support they received from UK Destination Expert Leanne.

Their stay at Twice Brewed, including a rest day to visit Vindolanda, was a standout highlight.
