We are deeply saddened to hear of Chris’s passing.

Graham and Chris go back many years and shared a close friendship. Chris was always incredibly good to Graham, who always had the utmost respect for him—not just in the transport industry, but in life.
Graham respected Chris deeply and always valued his advice. Chris always had time to offer guidance and support, and there was never a shortage of wisdom when it was needed most.

He was a true character, a genuine, hardworking man, and someone who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Chris will be dearly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and all who knew and loved him during this incredibly difficult time.

It’s with great sadness we share the loss of Chris Lyons the founder and creator of Lyons Transport. The man whose vision is what we are today.

A son, husband, father, father in-law and Pa. His memory will live on through his family and his great legacy, Lyons Transport.

Chris was the patriarch of our family, our storyteller, our hard worker and the man who built the business with his hard work and dedication.

A legend to the industry and to his family.

We are a small family operated transport company seeking a professional, well presented, experienced interstate operator based in the Sydney area as the truck is based in Moss Vale.

You will be driving an immaculately presented prime mover towing a refrigerated trailer, up and down the east coast.

JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITY
To be accepted for this role you must be:
- Professionally presented
- Customer focused and able to deal with customers in a professional manner
- Willing to listen and learn company procedures
- Looking for long term employment and be capable of doing overnight freight

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- You must hold a current HC licence and have done so for at least four years
- Be currently employed in the transport industry and able to supply references
- Be experienced in refrigerated transport
- A current BFM certificate would be advantageous or a willingness to obtain is a must

🌟 A Positive Story for the Transport Industry – A Special Thank You to Nick – and a Brave Young Truck Fan 🌟

Every so often, we’re reminded of the incredible impact small acts of kindness can have, especially in an industry as dynamic and essential as ours. Recently, one of our drivers, Nick, made a huge difference in the life of a very special young boy named Tom — a truck-obsessed legend who has been bravely fighting leukaemia for more than two years.
Tom’s father shared this heartfelt message with us, and with his permission, we’d like to share it with you:

Dear Graeme and The Team,
On behalf of Tom and indeed our whole family, we would like to sincerely thank you all for your generosity and lovely human spirit in sending Tom his very own company branded uniform. Our Tom has had a very rough 2 years plus fighting leukaemia. It has decimated our family on all fronts and without the love and kindness of so many, we'd not be here today. The transport industry in general has been nothing short of amazing. Tom's extreme passion for trucks has helped him remain focused on becoming a professional driver one day. Interacting with drivers like Nick has been such an uplifting experience. That young man Nick is an absolute bloody champion and such an asset to your organisation. What a fantastic public example he is! Nick was on a short break when we met him and he gave Tom the time of day to answer some questions and take a quick look at his impressive T909. That rig is a real credit to your company. Such a beautiful piece of machinery!!! Please accept our thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
