Join DPI for a Practical Fire Management Workshop – Featuring Large-Scale Property Maps!
As a bonus for attending, all registered property owners will receive a high quality, laminated, full colour satellite map of their property, big enough to spread across a ute bonnet! These maps have proven to be invaluable tools in real-world fire events across Southern Queensland.
During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to lay out your property map on a table and use it to review or create a fire management plan tailored specifically to your land. These same maps have been used in the field by emergency crews to quickly identify fire breaks, tracks, water points, safety zones, and critical infrastructure during bushfire response efforts.
With the QLD Government’s recent modelling indicating higher fire risk due to increased fuel loads in many regions, now is the time to be prepared.
