Proud to announce that today we had a new member join the team.
Fifty and her baby girl are both doing well, we couldn’t be happier. Only question now…what do you name a little girl whose mum’s name is Fifty? 😬😅

Yesterday marked the end of our time at Ekka 2026 and we are all so happy to be home.

Bob, Fantail and Huey had a wonderful play in the exercise arena before hopping on the truck to come home and that made us wonder - what will these Showgrounds look like next year? Our horses would have been the last ones in that sand arena…possibly ever… and we are very excited to see what changes and improvements will be made over the coming months.

So many memories made and cherished at the Brisbane Showgrounds over the years. Thank you to everyone who we had the privilege to work with, we loved every minute.

Backstage of any performance can feel a bit chaotic, and this year at the Ekka certainly looks a bit that way. The thing is, this is a very controlled chaos, and an extraordinary group of professionals that we have the privilege to work with. It is safe, it is strongly coordinated and we all trust each other. That is the foundation upon which magic can be made every night.
Eight shows down and two shows to go for this year’s EkkaNITES. We’ve loved being a part of every one.

It’s a feeling like no other, standing by waiting to enter a performance. Especially in an arena as loud and energetic as Ekka on People’s Day. Especially with three great horses, two of whom we bred and raised.
Fantail, Bob and Huey have been absolute champions this week, handling everything the Ekka has thrown at them. Couldn’t be prouder.

We really are all about the nap time here! Huey and his mates, Fantail and Bobby have been working hard with us at the Brisbane Ekka, and they’re resting hard too.

Honestly, we all love a good lie-in around here. But Krystal takes it to the next level.
