It was wonderful to welcome Trailfinders travel agents from the UK to The Tweed late last week. The group met with Industry Engagement Manager Amy Colli for dinner at Fins Restaurant

During the day they'd experienced the Northern Rivers Rail Trail with Better By Bike OZ, had lunch at Husk Farm Distillery and enjoyed a wellness experience with Tim at Watersports Guru

The Burringbar Range Tunnel is one of the most memorable parts of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.

At 524 metres long, it's completely dark inside, making it an experience you'll be talking about long after the ride is over.

With your bike lights on, it's a fun and slightly surreal part of the journey — and for many riders, it's the highlight of the day.

Thinking about riding the Northern Rivers Rail Trail?
Here are the most common questions we get before people book 👇

How hard is it?
- The e-bikes make it very easy - most people are surprised at how relaxed the ride feels.

How long does it take?
- The full trail is around 1.5 hours one way if you were riding non-stop, but most people take their time and stop along the way.

Half day or full day?
- Half day works if you’re short on time, but we always recommend a full day (8am–4pm) if you can, more stops, more exploring, and a much more relaxed experience.

What’s along the way?
- Cafés, farm stops, pubs, fruit stalls, and little local spots that make the day feel like an adventure, not just a bike ride.

First time riding?
- You’ll be fine, we set you up, show you everything, and the bikes do the hard work.
