Perth Park will be a world-class destination for sport, entertainment, and community use, helping diversify the state economy and create local jobs. 🌳

The design of the park includes an outdoor music amphitheatre and festival space, a multi-use building, a hospitality venue, and a multi-purpose track for cycling and an annual motorsport event. 🚴‍♀️

The project will enhance the natural environment, with tree canopy to be more than doubled including a new urban forest, with an improved path network for greater community use.

With new public spaces and amenities, Perth Park will support active lifestyles, bring people together, and create a vibrant parkland for all to enjoy.

Improvements are underway as part of the Reid Highway Interchanges Project, with major works progressing at Altone Road and Drumpellier Drive/Daviot Road. 🚗🚧

The first sections of permanent roadway are now in place, with earthworks continuing and traffic safely diverted to allow construction of new bridge supports.

Once complete, the new interchanges will improve safety, ease congestion and deliver more reliable travel for local residents, visitors and freight operators.

The Destination WA team explore infrastructure improvements around Geraldton. ⛵🚴

A new floating jetty and 34 extra boat pens were recently completed as part of the Batavia Coast Marina project, increasing the total number of pens at the facility to 118.

The Geraldton Cycle Network Expansion will connect the region’s northern and southern suburbs, with more than eight kilometres of shared path added to the network.

Destination WA recently explored the Wilman Wadandi Highway and Wadandi Track Expansion. 🚘🚴

The Wilman Wadandi Highway opened to traffic in December 2024. As the largest transport infrastructure project delivered in the South West region, the highway is improving travel times, enhancing road safety, and supporting a more reliable network for locals, tourists and freight operators.

The Wadandi Track Expansion is set to extend to almost 110 kilometres by 2028. When complete, it will become one of the longest rail trails in Australia.

Perth Film Studios will position Western Australia as a leading destination for national and international screen production! 🎬

The landmark facility features four sound stages totalling 90,000 square feet, the southern hemisphere’s largest backlot, and purpose built workshops for set and prop construction.

Designed as a hub for film, television and digital media, the new studios will attract investment, diversify the economy and create jobs for WA’s growing creative workforce. We’re set to take the local screen industry to the global stage.
