🎄 CHRISTMAS CASUAL – WORKSHOP / RETAIL ASSISTANT 🚲

We’re looking for an extra set of hands to join the Ride Society Bike Co. team over the busy Christmas period!

We’re looking for someone who is:

🔧 Mechanically minded and confident using tools
🚲 Able to assist with bike builds, basic assembly and workshop tasks
🙌 Friendly, reliable and happy to help customers
📦 Willing to jump in with stock, deliveries and keeping things organised
⚡ Keen to learn – bike shop experience is great, but not essential

This is a hands-on role across both our workshop and retail floor, so we’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and help wherever needed.

This is what being a small family business is all about 💛

Madi popped into the shop to bring me a coffee and quickly realised we were absolutely flat out. Instead of heading off, she stayed and jumped straight in—answering phones, helping customers and doing whatever needed to be done… slippers and all! 😂

She ended up spending time with one customer, listening to what he needed and helping him find his ideal bike. We were so grateful when he later left us an awesome review, mentioning the service and support he received from both Madi and me.

These are the moments that make me proud—not only as a business owner, but as a Father.

That’s what Ride Society Bike Co. is all about—real people, honest advice and helping you find the right bike for your next adventure. 🚲

Last night we had the pleasure of attending the Local Business Awards.

While it wasn’t our year to take home a win, we were incredibly proud to be named finalists. Just making it to that stage was a huge honour and something we’re very grateful for.

A massive congratulations to all of the amazing local businesses who took home awards. It was also fantastic to be surrounded by so many hardworking small businesses doing great things in our community.

We’re after someone who loves talking bikes as much as riding them — customer-first, mechanically minded, and keen to be part of the crew. Bike shop experience is a big plus, but attitude matters more than resume.

👤 “Umm… it’s a mountain bike… it’s black… I bought it a few years ago…”

Don’t worry—we’re not judging! There are so many tyre sizes out there that it’s impossible to remember them all.

💡 Pro tip: Check the numbers printed on the side of your tyre or bring your old tube into the shop. We’ll make sure you leave with the right one every time. 👌
