$40,000 RAISED FOR MAKE-A-WISH AT THE EF KING ISLAND CLASSIC

The 9th EF King Island Classic brought together 80 golfers, two world-class courses, and conditions you rarely get down there, almost no wind. Cape Wickham Links, King Island and Ocean Dunes Golf Course King Island showed off.

But the real story sat off the scorecard.

$38,735 raised, then a local stepped in and rounded it to a clean $40,000 in honour of Make-A-Wish Australia’s 40th year. This takes the total raised from this event since its inception to $237,000!

There were moments worth talking about. Alex Henderson taking the win. Dave Parsons knocking in a hole-in-one on the third at Cape Wickham. The kind of shot you remember long after the trip.

Great golf helps. Good people make it count.

Appreciation goes to everyone who showed up, backed it, and gave generously. Essendon Fields Airport, Callaway Golf , and a long list of supporters behind the scenes made this one land properly.

What an epic few days at the Hewison Private Wealth King Island PGA of Australia Pro-Am.

108 players took on two of the world’s best coastal courses, Cape Wickham Links, King Island, King Island and Ocean Dunes Golf Course King Island, in a special 10th edition of the event.

A huge thank you to all the players who joined us on the adventure, and to our event partners Hewison Private Wealth, Cape Wickham, Ocean Dunes, Callaway Golf and On Course Golf for helping make it such a memorable trip.

The wait is almost over. The spectacular 7 Mile Beach Golf Course in Hobart has announced that it will officially open its full 18 holes on 4 December.

Our team has been following this project closely, with regular visits since March 2022, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it finally come to life. Congratulations to the entire 7 Mile Beach team, especially Tour Professional Mathew Goggin, whose vision and persistence have transformed a bold idea into one of the world’s truly great coastal golf courses.

The breathtaking links layout, designed by Mike DeVries and Mike Clayton, sits on a stunning stretch of coastline just minutes from Hobart Airport and less than 30 minutes from the city centre. Massive sand dunes dominate the landscape, while views over Tiger Head Bay from the 18th green are simply unforgettable.

Like its Tasmanian neighbours at Barnbougle and King Island, 7 Mile Beach promises to become a bucket list destination for every golfer.
