🚧 Upcoming Level Crossing Upgrade – Henry Parkes Way, Manildra

UGL Regional Linx will be upgrading the Henry Parkes Way level crossing in Manildra from 24–27 October 2026 to improve track stability, reliability and long-term safety for rail and road users.

Working hours & detour
Work will be carried out continuously from 8am Saturday 24 October to 3am Wednesday 28 October 2026, weather permitting.
Henry Parkes Way will be closed at the level crossing during this time. A short detour will be in place via Henry Parkes Way, Dederang Street and Yellowbox Road.

The work will include:
✅ Renewal of the level crossing surface and rail
✅ Improvements to track foundations
✅ Installation of a new level crossing panel
✅ New asphalt on both approaches to the crossing.

During the work, residents may notice increased vehicle movements, machinery, overnight activity and site lighting. UGLRL will take all reasonable steps to minimise impacts to the community.

UGL Regional Linx will be carry out essential track maintenance between Manildra to Parkes from Friday 23 October to Wednesday 28 October 2026, weather permitting.

Work will generally take place between 6am and 6pm, with a continuous shift from 6am Saturday 24 October to 6pm Sunday 25 October.

This work will help maintain track condition and support the safe operation of the Country Regional Network.

Nearby residents may notice:

🔹 Increased noise from machinery and equipment

🚧 Akuna Road, Parkes - Level Crossing Upgrade - Stage 1 🚧

On behalf of Transport for NSW, UGL Regional Linx will upgrade the Akuna Road level crossing in Parkes to improve safety, installing new boom gates and flashing lights.

📅 Work Dates:
Monday 12 October to Friday 18 December 2026

⏰ Hours:
7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, including some weekends.

A continuous shift will take place from Saturday, 24 October to Tuesday, 27 October 2026.

🚧 Road Closure:
Akuna Road will be closed to traffic between 9pm, 24 October and 9pm, 27 October 2026. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency services.

We're working to upgrade the level crossing at Eugowra Road, Parkes, helping improve safety for all road and rail users.

📅 When: Monday 12 October to Sunday 15 November 2026
⏰ Hours: 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Some weekend work will also be carried out.
A continuous shift will take place from 6am Saturday 24 October to 5pm Tuesday 27 October 2026.

🚦 What to expect:
• Stop/slow traffic control and digital signage
• Increased vehicle movements in the area
• Some construction noise from machinery

🚧 Markham Street, Armidale - Level Crossing Upgrade 🚧

UGL Regional Linx, on behalf of Transport for NSW, will continue upgrading the level crossing at Markham Street, Armidale.

We’ll carry out this important work from Wednesday, 7 October to Friday, 30 October 2026, between 7am to 5pm. This will include some weekend work.

Road traffic control on Markham Street will occur between Tuesday, 27 October and Thursday, 29 October 2026.

The upgrade aims to improve safety and reliability of the level crossing for all road and rail users.

🚧 Level crossing upgrade work starting at Blumer Avenue, Griffith 🚧

On behalf of Transport for NSW, UGL Regional Linx will begin Stage 1 of the Blumer Avenue level crossing upgrade from Monday 31 August to Monday 30 November 2026. The project will improve safety for motorists and pedestrians by installing new boom gates and pedestrian safety barriers at the crossing.

🛠 Work hours 📅 31 August – 30 November 2026
🕖 7am – 6pm, including some weekends
⚠️ Continuous work shift: 6am on Saturday 12 September to 6pm on Monday 14 September 2026, including overnight work.

Temporary road closure from 10am on Friday 11 September to 6am on Tuesday 15 September 2026 and 7am Monday 28 September to 3pm Sunday 11 October, weather permitting.

• detour via Blumer Avenue, Wakaden Street, Crossing Street and Banna Avenue. The detour is about 2km and may add around five minutes to travel times.
