Showcase tour North Queensland. We enjoyed the hospitality of Charlie and his lovely family, testing the TSi and High wing out on their farm. We stayed in Saint George, enjoying a lovely river walk. We then flew via Charleville (the WWII secret base was unfortunately closed on Saturdays) to Longreach, the aviation Mecca for aviators. The museum and the light show against the “queen of the skies” (Boeing 747) are magical. Tonight we are sleeping in Winton after we enjoyed a brilliant performance of the history of “The Waltzing Mathilda” and an open air movie of John Wayne.
