Since 1999, North Kimberley Airport ("NKA") has overseen the exponential growth of Mungalalu Truscott Airbase (“MTA”) through investment in the development of MTA’s infrastructure and utilisation by customers from certain industries, particularly the oil and gas and tourism sectors. mbera people and surrounding communities and NKA's shareholders. Situated in a very remote location, NKA has deep expertise in delivering land, sea and air logistics services to oil and gas operators as well as to defence, customs and border protection agencies in the region. The longstanding strong relationships that NKA has established with the oil and gas operators operating in the Timor Sea, such as Inpex, PTTEP, Jadestone, UPS and previously Woodside, are a testament to the great reputation the airport has for delivering a consistently high standard of service to a demanding sector, where safety is a critical factor in all operations.
