two coat spray technique is definitely superior to older methods because it is a hot bitumen product that binds more tightly than traditional water based emulsion, sealing in aggregate for much longer life and providing vastly superior colour fastness. By building a matchless range of combinations with various aggregates and coloured bitumen, together with a variety of finishing edges, the choices are virtually endless for home owners, landscape designers, architects and engineers wherever strategic or aesthetically pleasing pavement or road surfaces are required. Choose from one of our popular gravels or have a custom blend made to suit your project. The initial stage is the levelling of the area, formation of slope or mounding for optimal control of run off. Next is a layer of road base which is then compacted (similar to preparation for the laying of concrete). The hot coloured bitumen is sprayed onto the prepared surface, the gravel tipped on and rolled in. This process is done a second time for a smooth and even result. The work site is cleaned and the area restored.
