Tahlia is back from 9 days in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland with , and what a trip it was!

It started in Belfast with the Game of Thrones Studio Tour and Titanic Belfast, built on the slipways where the ship was made. Belfast’s food scene was a real surprise, with a walking food tour from St George’s Market through the city centre tasting local produce and modern Northern Irish cooking. Then it was up the coast to walk the Gobbins cliff path and an early morning at the Giant’s Causeway.

In Fermanagh, she cruised the Erne lakes on an electric water taxi, toured the Boatyard Distillery, where the gin is made with local botanicals, and got a taste of the Cuilcagh Boardwalk “Stairway to Heaven” before a night at Lough Erne Resort.

In Westport, lunch was a guided food tour of the town. In Connemara, the group tasted oysters straight from the bay with DK Connemara Oysters. Then came Kylemore Abbey’s gardens, a night at Ballynahinch Castle and clay pigeon shooting at Ashford Castle. Galway’s Stroll to the Stout paired local food with a pint, and Tahlia even baked with Margaret at Margaret’s Kitchen!

The trip wrapped up in Dublin at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and the Jeanie Johnston tall ship, followed by afternoon tea on a vintage bus.
