You arrive at the hotel after a long overnight flight and your room isn't ready until the afternoon. Breakfast is not included and check-out is 11am, even though your flight doesn't leave until the evening. A very common scenario for Europe bound travellers.

Many of the chain hotels we book have agreements with us that include extra benefits for our clients. It varies by hotel, but it's often breakfast included each day, some credit to spend at the hotel and an upgrade if one is available. We can usually ask for an early check-in or late check-out as well. The rate is normally the same as what you'd see on the hotel's own website, so there's no catch.

Egypt is one of those destinations that stays with you long after you’ve returned home.

Brian recently joined Uniworld in Egypt to celebrate their 50th anniversary, experiencing a journey that brought together extraordinary history, remarkable landscapes and the timeless beauty of the Nile.

From standing beneath the Pyramids of Giza and exploring the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum to discovering the ancient temples of Karnak, Luxor and Abu Simbel, Egypt delivered at every turn.

Cruising the Nile aboard Uniworld’s S.S. Sphinx was a highlight, offering a different perspective on the country, its people and the rhythm of everyday life along the river. An evening at the legendary Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan, watching the sun set over the Nile, was another moment to remember.

Beyond the extraordinary sights, it was Uniworld’s hospitality and the opportunity to experience Egypt at a more considered pace that made this journey so memorable.

Great to welcome our friend, Anthony from InterContinental Hotels & Resorts to our office this week, visiting from Bordeaux, France to share the latest updates across several of their landmark properties in France.
