So this is it... for now! After 976 days traveling around the world is time for us to come home although against our will. But this is one of the many things we've learnt during the last three years: always be flexible.

We don't know what and where we'll be doing next, but we'll embrace the chances, challenges and opportunities.

Australia: you will always be in our hearts. And not only for your amazing landscapes, the exotic wildlife and the pristine nature, but mostly for the warm of the hearts of your people.

We want to thank you all for following us in this epic adventure.

¡Hola, familia!
We have important news for you: WE ARE COMING BACK HOME.

That's right, in two weeks at this time we should be in Valencia. As we told you a week ago when we sold Stacy, we currently have no alternative but, much to our regret, to put the last leg of our trip "on hold" until an indeterminate date and return home.

As you all well know, the current world situation due to Covid-19 means that most countries still do not allow the entry of foreign citizens, so our plans to travel to Japan have been cut short. To this we must add our particular situation in Australia, where the expiration date of our visas is approaching and where we do not want to remain illegally, since this would imply not being able to return to this beautiful country in the near future, a door that we don't want to close.

Therefore -and I repeat that with great sadness- we have decided that the "least bad" alternative at the moment is to temporarily return to Spain and spend some time with our families as we watch the global situation evolving.

As some of you know, our plans for the III (and supposedly last) stage of our trip were to spend the whole summer in Japan, then visit South Korea and the Philippines and in late October head to New Zealand to enjoy spring there. We were planning to spend Christmas and New Year in Hawaii before heading to Ushuaia, from where we would begin to travel overland along the west coast of Latin America until arriving in Mexico in June or July next year. Faced with the sea of uncertainties that surrounds us all in these times, we are going to pause -but not cancel- this last dream that we had left to finish our round the world trip and we are going to enjoy the possibility of spending one more summer surrounded by our own.

A big hug for everyone!

Goodbye, Stacy!

That's right, familia: after 22 months and more than 36,000 km travelled with her, yesterday we said goodbye to our dear Stacy with great sadness, but knowing that we left her in good hands and that she will continue riding Australian roads very soon.

After backpacking for a year, we arrived in Australia full of enthusiasm and in a few days we found Stacy, who mo than a car has been our home (on wheels) during all the time we have been here. We have experienced countless adventures with her, some bad moments and thousands of unforgettable moments throughout and across all Australia.

It has been a new experience for us, one experience more to add in this crazy adventure that we started on a hot July day almost three years ago and whose continuation unfortunately we see endangered do to current circumstances... Almost two years of that we are sure that we will never forget, and that we hope to be able to repeat one day in the future, although perhaps maybe in some new destination.

Enjoy the tarmac, baby. We'll miss you!

¡Famila!

More than a month since our last post and many of you have asked us if we're okay. The short answer is: YES, WE ARE FINE. If you want to know more here's the long answer:

As most of you know, last 23rd of March we arrived in Perth after having completed the loop around Australia with Stacy. Since that day we started looking for jobs in Perth or around, although without too much success.

Although the situation in Australia is far from what is happening in Europe (here we can go out on the street without restrictions and even go to the beach or walk through the parks), due to the coronavirus all bars and restaurants are closed so many people are out of a job and that makes it difficult to look for one because of the high demand.

Finally, after sending literally hundreds of resume Nora got a job last 20th of April at a gold mine 300 km east of Perth, and while she's working there I've been "adopted" by a Sino-Australian family I stay with in exchange for some hours of play with Tom -the little one of the family- and Cotton, a 3 month old Pomerania.

Since the situation and uncertainties began in early March, we have thought about whether it was best to return to Spain or continue in Australia a few more months, and after much thought about it we decided several weeks ago that it was best to wait until approximately mid May (a month before our visa expires) and then decide on our most immediate future.

Meanwhile as you can see in the attached photos we are in more than good health and mood, and we send you all much strength -especially those in forced isolation- and virtual kisses.

Día 9️⃣0️⃣0️⃣🌏 - ¡Hola, familia! Tras 36.347km🚐 recorriendo Australia, hemos llegado dónde empezamos, a Perth. ❤️.

Día 8️⃣7️⃣6️⃣🌏 ¡Llegamos a Uluru! 🇭🇲
