Can you guess what the first two letters are on this one? This red tinny came in for it's annual service and had us feeling like cracking a beer all day! While it was in the workshop, we also serviced the trailer, ensuring the wheel bearings were up to scratch for another boating season 🚤☀️

Another boat in and out of the workshop for it's annual service. We also added on a trailer service including wheel bearing check - the state of your trailer is just as important as your motor health. This Yamaha outboard also received an impeller change while it was here. Another customer ready to enjoy summer on the water 🌞😎

Perth Summer + Newly Serviced Boats = MEANT 2 B 🥳😎

Even though the weather this December hasn't felt like Summer yet, don't let that fool you, Christmas and New Years is approaching fast and you'll be SCORCHED ☀️ if you miss out on a service before the New Year! (Don't say we didn't warn you)

This cool Southwind with a Yamaha engine got a 12 month service recently, and because it was sitting around for 2 years unused and unable to start, we also changed the Thermostat, cleaned out the Carburetor and installed a new Battery. Time to hit the water!

While MEANT 2 B was in the workshop, the customer also had us check and adjust the trailer's wheel bearings & brakes - don't forget to add it into your next service too!

This Avan caravan was in for a service last week. The wheel bearings were replaced and brakes checked and adjusted, putting it back into tip top shape for another adventure. 👌

While it was at the workshop we also added on an anti-flap kit to the awning, fixed a water leak and got to the bottom of a wiring issue that was causing the lights to flicker. Happy days! 🌞

A 12 month service was recently completed on this Mercury 115 motor at the Caltech Workshop🚤☀️ which included a general check over, compression test, spark plug replacement, fuel filter replacement, gearbox oil change and water impeller change. ⚙️

We found water ingress in the gearbox 💦 which was resealed, and the boat is now ready to hit the water again!

Don't forget to enquire about trailer servicing while your boat is at the workshop.💡Or pre-purchase inspections if you're in the market for a new boat.

CARAVAN & CAMPERVAN SERVICING, CLEANING, RED DIRT REMOVAL, BRAKE REPLACEMENT, WIRING, ACCESSORY INSTALLATIONS.

Caravan & campervan services are offered at Caltech Mechanical for all makes and models, starting from $300 + GST for a single axel and $400 + GST for a dual axel. All general services include a check over the underside of the caravan/trailer, wheel bearing re-grease, brake inspection, suspension check and hitch grease.

With all jobs, if any parts require replacing, contact will always be made prior to work commencing to seek your approval.

Wiring, water leaks, accessory installs, battery replacement or other ad-hoc jobs are quoted on an individual basis prior to starting.

Red dirt removal/acid wash services/inside & out cleans start from $500 + GST and will leave your camper or caravan sparkling like new!

Don't underestimate the importance of brake and wheel bearing checks on a regular basis to keep you and your equipment safe, especially if you're just about to take off on a trip.

Things are heating up in Perth and Summer, School Holidays & Christmas are all just around the corner, so get in early to get your vans up to scratch, before it's to late and everywhere is booked out for the festive season!
