Level crossing safety has been in the news of late......and whilst all the relevant stakeholders are now meeting to discuss ways of improving some of the more poorly designed ones, the reality is that the majority of level crossings are fine. It is up to motor vehicle drivers to observe boom gates, flashing lights and other warning signs and drive appropriately. No ifs, no buts, no blaming rail crossing design, or saying the train was poorly lit. YOU are in control of the vehicle you drive.....and are responsible for your actions. Failure to take responsibility can have catastrophic consequences.

The latest addition to our transport assets is Fleet #19, a Kenworth T359 prime mover featuring the ever-reliable Cummins ISMe5 powerplant coupled to an Eaton Ultrashift 10 speed transmission: the ideal short haul solution. In keeping with our tradition of trucks being nicknamed after their brand (e.g: Fleet #10 Star Attraction) this one is called "Worth the Wait" and is seen here with Steelbro sidelifter "Thing" about to commence duties on our evening shift. Big shout outs to Darren, Craig and Luke from Wales(All Transport Crash) for the paintwork and also Jim and Pete from SignChief for the signage and scrollwork.

Port Adelaide Depot Upgrade
In keeping with our platform of continuous improvement our depot has seen upgrade works including new fencing, the widening of the Fisher street driveway and the installation of a sliding gate. Great to see our MD as well as our Operations boss getting into it! This is old skool - these guys know how to bend their backs! New gardens are expected to be planted in the coming weeks.
