Why you should get an Instrument Rating.
The weather forecasts are getting worst (less accurate). A case in point: Redcliffe to Arlie Beach (YBPN).
The aviation forecast was for no cloud, showers, rain or thunderstorms…but that is exactly what we got.
Brisbane to Rockhampton we maintained “up to 30 NM right of track” and north of Rockhampton “up to 20 NM left of track”.
BOM forecasting needs to improve but pilots should invest in an Instrument Rating.
