As I sit here on a Sunday night thinking about the week ahead, I can't help but feel the sting of sadness and anger.

10 weeks we've been operating.
10 weeks and we're already facing one of the biggest financial challenges I couldn't see coming.

When we started in January - Diesel was less than $1.80 per litre now it is almost double that with no indication as to whether or when it will ever go down.

While I know we are only fresh on the scene, I feel the weight of every decision more than I ever expected to.

This wasn't part of the plan.

But here's what I keep coming back to - I didn't start this business because it was going to be easy. I started it because I believed in it and knew that my community needed reliability, consistency and a professional service. And that hasn't changed.

Fuel prices don't get to write our story.

So yes, Sunday nights are hard right now. Yes, the numbers are scary. But we will adapt, we will find a way, and we will still be here. For our customers, for our communities, and for the vision we had when we took that first leap in January.

10 weeks in and we're still standing.

That has to count for something.
