Nominations are now open for the AFIA ART of Export Fodder Field Machinery Operators Academy! 🌾

This practical two-day program will bring together up to 24 export fodder operators to build skills, share experience, and learn directly from leading machinery manufacturers and technical experts.

📅 Wednesday 30 September – Thursday 1 October
📍 Rochester, Victoria
💵 $99 per person (includes all training materials, one night twin-share accommodation, and all meals)
🚌 Complimentary shuttle available from Melbourne Airport

Machine Operation Position Available

We're looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team for the upcoming hay season. You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining haymaking equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate mowers, rakes, balers, and other haymaking machinery safely and efficiently
- Carry out routine machinery checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting in the field
- Work long hours during peak periods to maximise good weather windows
- Travel between properties/locations as required, including overnight stays away from home
- Work safely and cooperatively as part of a team
- Maintain equipment and worksite to a high standard

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience operating hay/farm machinery is essential (tractors, balers, mowers, rakes, etc.)
- Current driver's licence
- Willingness and ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and ability to work long, flexible hours during the season
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Sound understanding of farm safety practices
