Something special is happening across the islands this October. đź“–

The Island Storytellers Festival is coming to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands and North Stradbroke Island from 3–5 October 2026, bringing together writers, storytellers and visitors for a weekend of stories, island history, music and connection.

SeaLink’s Kurrowera will be part of the festival experience, providing a special connection service between Lamb Island, Coochiemudlo and Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island throughout the festival. The connection makes it possible to explore multiple islands as part of the festival these school holidays. The ferry journey will be part of the experience, with storytellers sharing island history onboard, alongside book launches and musical interludes as you travel between the islands.

Some events are already selling out, so book your tickets and start planning your festival weekend.

Want to get your business in front of ferry passengers?

We’re getting closer to launching our new digital advertising program across our ferry services, giving businesses and organisations the opportunity to reach passengers travelling to and from North Stradbroke Island and the Southern Moreton Bay Islands.

Advertising spaces will be available across our ferry networks, providing an opportunity to promote your business, products, services or upcoming events to passengers during their journey.

We’re currently shaping the program and are interested in hearing from businesses who may be looking to advertise with us, including which ferry network you’re interested in and how long you’d like to advertise for.
