Here at Hunter Aerospace, we recently completed a hot section inspection on this Pratt & Whitney PT6A-66D turboprop engine fitted to this tidy Socata TBM 850.

During inspection, we identified wear beyond limits on the CT disk and shroud, requiring specialist repair. While this extended the downtime, it ensured the engine was returned to service in full compliance and at the highest standard.

It’s a good reminder that detailed inspections matter, and catching issues early is what keeps these aircraft operating safely and reliably.

Another install incoming at Hunter Aerospace!⚡️

On the bench we’ve got a GTN650 and GMA345 wired up and ready to slide into the panel. These will integrate beautifully with the dual GI275s we previously installed, giving the aircraft a modern, seamless avionics suite.

To complete the package, we’ll also be fitting a fresh CNC-cut and laser-etched panel, removing all the old blanks and stickers for a clean, professional new look.

Our engineering team have recently completed a phase inspection on this Cessna Citation 501SP at our Cessnock, NSW facility.

The Citation cruises at over 300 knots, and is one of multiple high performance types we maintain.

In recent times, Cessnock Airport has undergone significant upgrades, including runway resurfacing and the addition of instrument approaches. This assists us in being able to receive these larger aircraft for maintenance, and provide additional airport options for our customers.
