Congratulations to Bob who has officially commenced a Head Start School Based Apprenticeship with Hendy Transport in St Arnaud working towards a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

This opportunity enables Bob to combine his VCE VM studies at St Arnaud Secondary College with on-the-job training, formal study and a pathway into a trade post school.

Thank you Hendy’s for giving another young person this fantastic opportunity.

As news of the Victorian bushfire emergency broke, a transport operator located some four hours away from the town wanted to do something to help.

The trucks were given a police es**rt from Yea through to the drop off point in Alexandra.
All trucks were unloaded around lunchtime, & are back home now.

3 Truckloads of hay, donated by local farmers, left St Arnaud this morning, bound for fire ravaged Alexandra vic.

The Hwy will be closed for filming scenes for a movie 🎬

⚠️ Please be aware the Calder Freeway, between Malmsbury and Harcourt, will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, 18 February, from 6am to 10pm. The Pyrenees Highway will also be closed near the Calder Freeway during this time.

🚧 Southbound traffic will exit the freeway north of Harcourt at Fogartys Gap Road, along Harmony Way and the Calder Highway, returning to the Calder Freeway at Malmsbury.

🚧 Northbound traffic will exit at Malmsbury, following the detour on the Calder Highway, Harmony Way and returning to the Calder Freeway at Fogartys Gap Road.
