Coaches like this were built for the long haul. With comfortable seating, generous luggage space and Mercedes-Benz engineering, they became a popular choice for regional operators across Australia throughout the late '80s and '90s.

On Tuesday, 11 August, Australia completes the 2026 Census, and there's one question where bus and coach drivers can make a real impact.

When you reach Question 42 – "What is your occupation? don't just write Bus Driver.

Instead, be specific:
✅ School Bus Driver
✅ Coach Driver
✅ Route Bus Driver
✅ Articulated Bus Driver

It might seem like a small detail, but it helps ensure our industry is properly recognised and supports future planning, training and workforce development.
