A week ago we laid our beautiful Annie to rest 💔💔💔💔

Grahame has owned Annie since she was a young horse, and from day one she proved she was something special. She was an exceptional liberty horse and was also a brilliant, safe riding horse, and in her later years became a harness horse, taking it in her stride like she always did.

Over the years she built up more film credits than most A-list actors. Movie sets, bright lights, busy crews - nothing ever rattled her. She just went to work and did it beautifully, time and time again.

In 2015 she stunned us all when she survived the surgical removal of a 50kg ovarian tumour. Her strength and toughness were incredible, and she came back from it with the same quiet determination she always had.

She has been comfortably retired for the past couple of years, enjoying a slower pace. Sadly, at nearly 27 years of age, we had to say goodbye after she battled melanoma (a cancer commonly seen in grey horses).

Annie was a once-in-a-lifetime mare. We were very lucky to have had her for as long as we did, and she is deeply missed here at the farm.

If you’d like to see a special little memory, our daughter made a fun video with Annie a few years ago 🤍

And here are some pics of her on set over the years!
