Home of the Kangaroo Route and now home of Sunrise. ✈️

From October 2027, Qantas will launch the world's first non-stop services between Sydney and London - the first time the historic Kangaroo Route has ever been flown without stops from Australia's east coast, and the first route chosen for Project Sunrise.

Up to 22 hours in the air, no stops, straight from SYD.

Tickets go on sale February 2027. Start planning. 🌍

A special send-off for a remarkable career ✈️

On Friday, we had the privilege of supporting Captain Dan Hall on his final departure after 41 years of service with American Airlines.

His last flight to Los Angeles was made even more meaningful, travelling alongside his son, Preston.

A full-circle moment, Captain Hall also operated the inaugural return American Airlines flight into Sydney in 2015.

Wishing him all the best for the journey ahead.

Restoring seagrass in Botany Bay!

We’ve launched a five-year partnership to support seagrass restoration in Botany Bay (Gamay), alongside the Sydney Institute of Marine Science, UNSW and Gamay Rangers - Botany Bay.

The project focuses on practical, science-led restoration, informed by First Nations knowledge and supported by community involvement.

Sydney Airport will be the first in Australia to welcome STARLUX Airlines, a premium Taiwanese carrier known for its luxury service and attention to detail.

Launched in 2020, STARLUX has quickly gained global recognition, earning a Skytrax Five-Star Airline rating two years in a row.

The full service airline is set to land in 2027, bringing more choice and premium travel options to Sydney. Stay tuned for more!
