Thank you Mike at Leisure and Learning Coastal Retreat for arranging a trip for Peter to explore and enjoy the Blue Mountains.
Scenic World is a great way to get deep into the valley and above it.
Echo Point has a stunning view of the majestic Three Sisters.
And KanGoRoo was also along for the ride!
We stopped at the Museum of Fire and the Arms of Australia Inn Museum on the way.
We also went out to the ZigZag railway for an old steam train ride in the beautiful Australian bush.

Another big day in a series of HUGE days! We went souvenir shopping today, dida photo shoot at the lake with a local photographer ( but between you and me, I think my iPhone photos are better!) to a Vietnamese McD’s, on an ex Russian military vehicle open air tour of lots of places including having tea and Happy Water with a local family in Banana Island. We stopped at train street again with a lovely couple from Ireland that we met on the tour. We took a pedicab back to our accommodation to put our feet up and a well deserved early night! I can only put 10 pics on this app but believe me it is hard to choose!!

On day two of our Lan Ha cruise we had a lovely breakfast and early lunch in the buffet area. Lyn chose to relax sitting out on her private balcony watching the ships and kayaks float by. We returned to the terminal then Hanoi drop off before walking to our accommodation. We are getting so good at crossing the road now!!

On day one of our Lan Ha Bay experience we met the bus at the Hanoi Opera house then took a luxury coach to the cruise terminal. We stopped on the way at a pearl cultivation center and learned a lot about that very interesting process. We checked in and found our room, tons of delicious food and I took a separate tour while Lyn relaxed in the room so I could share some photos with her. She wasn’t keen on the kayak option. Lyn took a spring roll making class and later sampled some of what she made! We had a huge dinner and an early night!

Today was a bit more chill. We needed a slower day to catch our collective breaths. We went for an amazing lunch thanks to a recommendation from our Grab (Uber of Vietnam) driver. We checked out the Hota Lo Prison museum. Very interesting but very sad. Then on to our one hour treat. Lyn had a foot massage and I had my hair washed and shoulder massage. It was magical! 🇻🇳
