Just like to make a comment on our recent endeavour to secure future employees prior to harvest.
What an ordeal to say the least!!
Starting with casual drivers who advise they are "right for harvest".....then on the day decide to let you know they have taken another job !
Then the arduous task of going over resumes, calling potential employees and having face to face interviews.
To have people guarantee they are ready to start ASAP and then just vanish off the radar and be uncontactable. Apparently this is called "ghosting"
All I can say about these people is that I pity who you work for as in my opinion it is so so disrespectful.
It is not difficult to be a decent human and if you have had a change of heart about taking the position, just call, email or text to let the potential employer know, no problem.

Seems that society has become complacent with this kind of behaviour. Not us, not our company!
I wish you all the best wherever you are, we have your names and will remember.

At the end of the day we are a small family business making our way in a hardnosed industry. We care about our Employees and like them. We have a good team around us, well maintained equipment excellent driver/ depot facilities and regular well paying work. For those "ghosters" it is your loss.

The three amigos......we had a lovely fun night to top off the end of another busy year. Seriously, Steve and I are so grateful to have Glen, Ross and Mick as our Employees. Loyalty is a hard quality to find these days in our industry. These men, our trusty mechanic Jayson and our sons Daniel, Jack and Thomas.
