Dale Leslie Mayes

Late of St George, QLD, formerly of Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Mount Isa and Narromine. Embarked on his final flight on Wednesday, 25th February 2026, and will be deeply missed by all those he left behind.

Adored best friend and soulmate of Ann-Maree.
Proud loving father of Lachlan and Abby
Beloved son of Bev and Col, and Trace (dec)
Loved son-in-law to Terry and Janice
Treasured brother & brother-in-law to Ryan and Nancy, Liam and Ali, Sarah and Dave, Alistair, Andrew, Rachel, Cassie and Troy.
Cherished Uncle to Zach, Nate, Maisy, Ruari, Gus, Hamish, Teddy, Chilli, Taz, Poppi, Ally, Ivy, Charli and Aubrey.
Admired Grandson and Nephew
And proud father figure and loyal friend to many.

With respect, family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Dale's life on Saturday, 7th March 2026, commencing at 10.00am at the 'Precision Aerial' Hangar, St George Airport, QLD 4487.

Following the service, Dale will be privately cremated.

Those who wish to express their condolences may do so in person or by contributing messages below, which will be passed on to Dale's family after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the St George Hospital Benefit Fund in honour of Dale would be greatly appreciated. Envelopes will be available on the day.

Light refreshments will be served at the completion of the service.

🚨 Hello Members - here’s an Important update on what’s happening with the Toowoomba Airport. As previously advised, Toowoomba City Airport is under real threat of closure. Toowoomba Regional Council have quietly moved forward the date of the meeting to decide whether our Airport will remain open.

We are asking that you help show your support by attending the Council meeting at 8.30am on Tuesday 28th May 2024 at Council Chambers in Ruthven Street. The Aero Club will be closed for the morning so all staff can attend. I can’t stress enough the importance of your physical attendance at Council Chambers on Tuesday morning. The bigger the numbers - the greater chance of our voice being heard.
