🚐🌴 Caravan + Magnetic Island? Absolutely!

We recently welcomed the berry big lap and their family aboard Magnetic Island Ferries, towing their 21ft caravan (a total vehicle length of 8.5 metres), and they had this to say:

After completing an incredible 6-month lap around Australia, this adventurous family of five has returned home to Townsville and is now discovering the best weekend escapes right here in North Queensland.

This week we had three of Cyclones Rod & Custom Club Townsville finest hot rods on board for the crossing to Magnetic Island — because when you've put that much love into your wheels, it deserves a holiday too!

🐾 We 💙 Dogs at Magnetic Island Ferries! 🐾

With National Dog Day this week, it’s the perfect time to remind everyone that dogs are very welcome aboard our ferries.

✔️ No muzzle required, but please keep your furry mate secure and mindful of others.
✔️ Walks on the vessel are welcome—just always make sure they’re on a leash.
🚫 The kiosk area is for humans only.

🐕‍🦺 Exploring Magnetic Island with your dog?
Did you know 73% of the island is National Park?
Luckily, there are plenty of dog-friendly beaches to enjoy as long as your pup stays on a leash, including:
West Point
Picnic Bay
Geoffrey Bay
Nelly Bay
Horseshoe Bay
They’re also welcome on any Townsville City Council–managed beach (unless signage says otherwise).
