One of the most important roles as a truck driver is restraining your load correctly, securely and safely. This avoids freight moving in transit ensuring nothing moves (falling pallets pose a risk to other road users and can risk damaging the freight itself and the truck curtains).
Here, Nu Trans drivers are participating in a load restraint course, facilitated by an outside provider to ensure all knowledge is up to date.

Keeping Victoria moving 🚛

While most people are asleep, there’s a good chance one of our drivers is somewhere between Melbourne traffic, a servo coffee, and a delivery deadline making sure shelves stay stocked, businesses stay running, and pallets somehow end up exactly where they need to be.

Family-owned, proudly local, and still getting excited over a perfectly loaded truck after all these years.

Meet Belinda – Belinda is our systems whiz, invoicing queen and driver payroll superstar. She does everything with a god attitude and a smile on her face and swears by the sentiment that Vegemite can fix any ailment. Although she has her own 3 kids at home, she treats the rest of us in the office as an extension of her family and is a mum figure to us all too, as if she didn’t have enough to look after!

Ever wondered where all of Melbourne seems to collectively decide to drive at the same time? Let’s talk about some of the city’s busiest roads — and why they feel like a real-life obstacle course.

🛣️ Monash Freeway (M1)
AKA: “The Car Park.”
Peak hour here isn’t an hour… it’s a lifestyle choice. Bonus points if you’ve memorised every billboard along the way.

🛣️ CityLink / Tullamarine Freeway
The gateway to the airport — and somehow always congested, even when no one you know is flying.

🛣️ Hoddle Street
A short road with BIG personality. Blinks red lights at you like it’s playing a game.

🛣️ Punt Road
Where lanes merge, tempers flare, and everyone suddenly becomes very passionate about zipper merging (or not).

🛣️ Princes Highway
Technically a highway, emotionally a test of endurance.

Meet Dane – Dane is our office all-rounder. He’ll answer the phone and help you with your freight bookings/enquiries, he’ll send you your invoice and daily report and he’ll help stack and wrap your pallet in the warehouse. There really isn’t anything this guy can’t do.
