Murwillumbah is a beautiful little country town that sits on the eastern foothills of the McPherson Range. It is approximately 4.5-5 hours from the Terranora Inlet travelling by houseboat. There are plenty of good cafes restaurants, clothes and antique shops to explore. Each year the Tweed region residents celebrate together with the Tweed Banana Festival, the second oldest festival in Australia. As you travel up river, take in the beautiful sights of the Tweed Valley surrounds and the magnificent views of Mt Warning.

Condong is a small village based around the Sugar Mill approximately 4hrs from base. Tours are available of the Mill at certain times, There you will find a busy Bowls Club offering Bistro meals and Trivia Nights! There is a floating pontoon and boat ramp along the river bank which makes it nice at easy to get in and out of your tender. There is also a park along the river which is nice for stretching the legs and taking in the views.

Tumbulgum is a beautiful, peaceful riverside town approximately 3 hrs travelling by houseboat from Base. Tumbulgum is home to the Tweed Valleys first cemetery dating back to the first pioneers, accessed by a short trip through the Rous River. Peaceful, serene and slightly eerie, North Tumbulgum Cemetery is definitely worth a visit. The Tumbulgum Tavern is a great place to stop for lunch and witness some of the Tweed Valleys picturesque views. Or why not go for a stroll around town and browse through some of the heritage shops including a beautiful antiques store, an art gallery, general store and a tea house. A public wharf accessible only by dinghy is conveniently located near the shops and bait and tackle can be had by those who fancy a lazy day's fishing.
