While most people are sleeping off their Australia Day celebrations, these upstanding members of the community thought they would have a tour of our new paint facility just before midnight on the 26th and decided to help themselves to some souvenirs which included tools, copper pipe and cable. Our cameras show a lot of traffic on the highway at this time where they entered and exited. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated to help us and the police get these people off the streets, out of homes and businesses, taking someone else’s possessions for a quick dollar or fix.

We are looking for a go getter to join our Spare Parts Team with an immediate start!

Responsibilities (but not limited to)
• Serving customers via email, phone and in person
• Providing excellent knowledge of semi-trailers parts and components (training provided)
• Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met
• processing customer orders, invoicing, and adjustments
• processing repair job cards into the system
• Store presentation, stock management, and housekeeping
• Annual stocktake and daily data entry
• processing eftpos payments
• Maintain and manage deliveries to customers and getting orders ready to go

Requirements and Skills
• Current forklift ticket and drivers’ licence
• Confident using Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel, teams) and phone systems
• attention to detail, initiative, and ability to learn new systems (cactis)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing stores environment desirable
• Strong focus on customer service
• Good work ethic, team player, honest, reliable, and punctual

Boilermakers wanted!!

Core tasks include:
• Position, align, and secure structural parts and related assemblies
• follow 3D technical drawings
• Shape seams, joints, and irregular edges of structure to attain specified fit of parts, using cutting torches, hammers, files, and metalworking machines.
• Straighten or reshape steel plates and structure parts,
• Attach signal crane or hoist operators to lift heavy frame and plate sections and other parts into place.
• Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
• Examine work for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as gas metal arc welding equipment, and grinders
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisors
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• excellent attention to detail when communicating with others.
• willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
• accomplish objectives effectively within time frames
• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Boiler making/Welding) OR minimum 3 years welding experience.

Plenty of overtime, no weekend work, home every night, mthly staff BBQ, and long-term employment.

Well, that's a wrap for another year, don't know where it went though as it feels like I was only making this post a few weeks ago for last year. We would like to thank all our customers, suppliers and especially our employees for another successful year with a total of 421 new items completed for the year. We look forward to seeing you again in 2026 and stay safe over the silly season whether it be with family or still keeping the country moving.
