πŸšŒπŸ’šπŸ’› DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY! πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸšŒ

A big THANK YOU to all our amazing Busabout drivers! πŸ‘

Every morning you’re up before the sun, getting our passengers where they need to go β€” safely, patiently and with a friendly smile. β˜€οΈ

Whether it’s school runs, town services, busy afternoons or those β€œI’m sure the bus was meant to be here…” moments πŸ˜‚ β€” you’re out there making it happen!

We appreciate the time, patience, professionalism and care you put into your job every single day. πŸšŒπŸ‘

And let’s be honest… driving a bus comes with its moments! πŸ˜‚ From the early starts, the school run chaos, the β€œcan you just squeeze one more person on?” requests, to answering the same question for the 47th time that day β€” you handle it all!

So today, we’re giving a huge shout-out to the people behind the wheel.

Thank you, drivers β€” we couldn’t do it without you! πŸ’šπŸ’›

AND ON THAT NOTE… HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! 🌻

It’s the first weekend of spring, and there are some VERY happy people in the Busabout office who are more than ready for warmer weather! β˜€οΈπŸ˜Ž

Bring on the sunshine, longer days and fewer mornings where we question whether getting out of bed was really necessary. πŸ˜‚

Have a great weekend everyone! πŸ’šπŸ’›

🚦 Tuesday: Still questionable.
🚦 Wednesday: WE’RE HALFWAY THERE! πŸ™Œ
🚦 Thursday: Nearly there…
🚦 Friday: LET’S GO! πŸŽ‰

Keep calm, keep smiling and don’t forget your coffee! β˜•πŸšŒ

Have your say on the future of transport in the Riverina Murray! πŸšŒπŸš†

Transport for NSW has released a draft Riverina Murray Strategic Regional Integrated Transport Plan, looking at how transport across our region could improve over the coming years.

The plan includes some important projects and ideas, including increasing the capacity of Gobba Bridge and improving passenger train services across the region.

If you live, work or travel around the Riverina Murray, your feedback matters! You can have your say by completing the survey, making a submission or using the interactive map.

Have your say – https://www.haveyoursay.nsw.gov.au/sritp/riverina-murray?utm_source=chatgpt.com

This is a great opportunity to let Transport for NSW know what matters to our community and what improvements you’d like to see across our region in the future. πŸšŒπŸ’š

πŸ˜‚ β€œHAPPY MONDAY!” β€” SAID NO ONE EVER… πŸ˜‚

Well… the weekend was fun while it lasted. 😭

The alarm has gone off, school bags are packed, shoes have hopefully been found, and it’s time to do it all again! πŸŽ’β°

So, because Monday clearly needs some HOUSE RULES, here’s how we’re going to survive the week on our school buses: πŸ‘‡

β˜• Rule #1: Coffee first (for mums and dads only). Questions later. πŸ˜‚
🚌 Rule #2: Be ready for the bus and wave to your driver! πŸ‘‹
🀝 Rule #3: Be kind, respectful and use your manners.
πŸ”Š Rule #4: Keep the bus noise at a reasonable level.
πŸͺ‘ Rule #5: Stay seated and keep everyone safe.
❀️ Rule #6: Look after your mates.
πŸ“‹ Rule #7: Listen to your driver and follow the Student Code of Conduct.
🚫 Rule #8: No bullying, pushing, fighting or carrying on like you’ve just won the Grand Final. πŸ˜‚
πŸŽ’ Rule #9: Keep your bags with you and keep the aisles clear.
😎 Rule #10: Survive Monday… then countdown to Friday! πŸŽ‰

Happy Monday, Wagga! πŸšŒπŸ’šπŸ’›

Let’s have a safe, respectful and (hopefully) drama-free week!

Only FOUR sleeps until the weekend! πŸŽ‰πŸ˜‚

21/08/2026

πŸŽ‰ Another week done and dusted! πŸŽ‰

What a busy week it’s been! We’ve had plenty happening behind the scenes, but we’ve made it through and are definitely ready for a relaxing weekend. πŸ˜„

A big thank you to everyone for another great week! πŸ’šπŸ’›

Now it’s time to put the feet up, recharge and enjoy the weekend. β˜•οΈπŸŒΏ

See you all Monday! πŸ‘‹

🚌 THE OFFICIAL BUSABOUT GUIDE TO BUS ETIQUETTE
Written by your friendly local bus company πŸ˜‚

After years of driving buses around Wagga, we’ve learnt a few things.

Roadworks. Fog. Traffic. Road closures. Lost property. And, of course, the mysterious appearance of three buses at once after you’ve been waiting for 20 minutes.

So, here it is…

πŸ“– THE BUSABOUT GUIDE TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT
1. πŸ• THE TIMETABLE
The timetable says 8:05am.
We aim for 8:05am.
But sometimes 8:05am meets a red light, roadworks, school traffic, a road closure and someone doing 35km/h in an 80 zone.
Please know our drivers are trying. πŸ˜‚

2. 🚧 ROADWORKS
If Wagga has roadworks, there is approximately a 97% chance our bus is going to find them.
If the road is closed with no warning?
Congratulations! πŸŽ‰
You’ve just unlocked the Busabout Scenic Tour of Waggaβ„’.
Same destination. Slightly more sightseeing.

3. 🌫️ FOGGY MORNINGS
Sometimes Wagga wakes up looking like someone has forgotten to turn the graphics on.
Our drivers are out there peering through the fog like:
πŸ‘€ β€œIs that a bus stop?”
πŸ‘€ β€œIs that a tree?”
πŸ‘€ β€œIs that Daz?”
Please give us a BIG wave when you see us coming!
It helps. A lot. πŸ˜‚

4. 🚌 THE THREE-BUS PHENOMENON
You wait.
And wait.
And wait.
Then suddenly…
THREE BUSES.
Together.
Like they’ve been having a staff meeting somewhere.
We promise it isn't planned.
Probably. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

5. πŸŽ’ LOST PROPERTY
Left your jumper on the bus?
Water bottle?
School bag?
Lunchbox?
One shoe?
A mysterious object nobody can identify?
Don't worry.
Our depot has basically become Storage Wars: Busabout Edition.
If you’ve lost something, give us a call. Your missing belongings may be sitting safely at the depot wondering why you abandoned them. πŸ˜‚

6. πŸ‘‹ THE BUS STOP WAVE
See the bus coming?
WAVE.
Not a tiny little finger twitch.
Not a subtle eyebrow movement.
A proper β€œYES, THAT’S MY BUS!” wave.
Our drivers aren't mind readers. πŸšŒπŸ˜‚

7. ❀️ THE GOLDEN RULE
Sometimes buses will be delayed.
Sometimes there will be fog.
Sometimes there will be roadworks.
Sometimes Wagga will throw an unexpected traffic obstacle at us just for fun.

But our drivers will always do their best to get you there safely.
So, thank you for travelling with us.

Busabout Wagga β€” keeping Wagga moving… one road work at a time. πŸ˜‚πŸ’šπŸ’›
