Compared to busier training airports at Cessnock, Bankstown or Camden, learning to fly with at Warnervale Airport means more time in the air and less time being delayed on the ground, paying while you wait to take off. Warnervale Airport is only a 50 minute drive from the northern suburbs of Sydney or the Newcastle CBD via the M1 motorway. Our scenic joy flights give a unique perspective on the Central Coast to both locals and tourists alike. From the beaches to the hinterland and the lakes and suburbs in between, you’ll see the beauty of the region from an exciting new perspective with one of our friendly, experienced pilots. Recently we had some changes to our Board structure.
Firstly, we would like to thank our outgoing Membership Director, Bob Clout for the long service he has provided to the CCAC.
Bob first learned to fly at Chieftain Aviation at Bankstown airport, then joined Schofields Flying Club.
When Bob moved from the Sydney area to caves Beach in 1999, he joined up at the CCAC and became a Director of the CCAC in 2001.
Bob is a true Gentleman, and apart from keeping on top of the membership, he has always been the first man to fire up and man the BBQ. Some say he has a pretty close eye on the Santa schedule each year when he flies in to Warnervale as well 🤔
Bob has offered to continue to help as our BBQ man for the foreseeable future.
Thank you Bob.

Stepping in to the frame are Lynda Hamilton and Ned Restom.

Lynda has already made a mark as our new social Director - organising multiple flyouts, seminars and social events over the last few months. One of the 'downsides' of the flying school becoming so successful has been the difficulty in fitting in social events - Lynda is filling a much-needed area for us.
Having started her flying journey twenty years ago, Lynda recently earned her CPL and launched 'The Aero Dietitian' to bridge critical nutrition gaps across remote outback communities. Now, as a proud board member at the Central Coast Aero Club, she is focused on empowering our female aviators and strengthening our flying community through vibrant social initiatives.

Ned Restom says he is honoured to join the Board of the Central Coast Aero Club.

A dental surgeon since 2004 and co-founder of Smile On Clinics, he is passionate about improving access to healthcare in regional communities and the role aviation can play in connecting people and services across Australia.

Having been a member of the Central Coast Aero Club since 2019 and a regular user of Warnervale Airport as a pilot, both privately and for his business, he has seen firsthand the value the Club and airport bring to our community. He looks forward to supporting both the Club and wider airport precinct as it continues to modernise and grow and is excited about strengthening connections between the Central Coast and regional Australia.

The CCAC continues to thrive in good hands.
