Another fun and busy day exploring more of beautiful Sri Lanka as we travelled from Kandy into the tea country of Nuwara Eliya.

Along the way we stopped to sample local fruit by the roadside, before visiting a spice garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s spices, their uses and traditional remedies.

In Kandy, we experienced some of the city’s culture and traditions with a visit to the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, followed by a traditional cultural show with amazing dancing.

After a lovely stay at Cinnamon Citadel Kandy, we visited a gem museum to learn more about one of Sri Lanka’s best-known industries — with a few of the girls finding some special pieces to take home.

Then it was on to one of the highlights of the day: visiting a tea factory and learning how Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon tea is produced.

We’re now high in the hills of Nuwara Eliya, surrounded by tea plantations and a completely different side of Sri Lanka.

Just amazing! Call me now to book your incredible adventure or inquire about our tours in 2027.

After our climb of Sigiriya Rock and some time for breakfast we set off on a really fun packed afternoon in Habarana. We started with a relaxing boat ride across the lake then onto carts for a ride along back lanes to a local village and home. Two beautiful Sri Lankan sisters showed us how to make Roti and coconut sambal and how to make full use of all natural resources. We enjoyed an incredible Sri Lankan feast before heading back for a relaxing afternoon enjoying the pool and the spa.

Sri Lanka is so beautiful. Don’t miss it!

An early start to climb Sigiriya Rock — A UNESCO World Heritage Site built more than 1,500 years ago. It’s hard to imagine how this entire palace complex was created.

We climbed more than 1,200 steps to the top of this incredible ancient rock fortress, stopping along the way to take in the frescoes, the Lion’s Paws and the extraordinary views across the Sri Lankan countryside.

It’s steep and definitely a climb — but reaching the top is 100% worth it. The ruins, gardens and views from the summit are amazing.

A brilliant morning, a few tired legs, and like when i climbed it in April. one of the real highlights of Sri Lanka.

If you’re thinking of joining one of my tours or visiting for a holiday get in touch and I can help plan an incredible adventure. I love this country so much.

Just back from an amazing few days in heavenly Milos and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Sarakiniko will always be the postcard shot, and the excitement of jumping off the cliff into the unbelievably crystal clear water was incredible but there were so many other moments that made our stay the absolute best. We loved swimming at Firopotamos, strolling through the cutest little fishing village, Klima with those little painted boat garages right on the water, and lunch at Medusa in Mandrakia where the octopus was as good as everyone says - that was hard to beat!
It was all a highlight - strolling the streets in Adamas, the wonderful Plaka area with amazing restaurants, shops and atmosphere, lazing on the Papikinou beach minutes from Adamas and popping across the road to grab takeaway cocktails from a funky bar - and of course the boat trip to Kleftiko. Pollonia is a perfect spot to stay if you’re looking for a quieter experience - it’s gorgeous.
The best part now is that I get to plan a Milos and Paros itinerary for a client visiting next year.

Have you been? Which spot would you ho to first?

I’m taking 12 women to Spain and Portugal, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this one.

12 days through Seville, the Algarve, Lisbon, Sintra, the Douro Valley and Porto — long lunches, easy days, and a night in a w**e barrel suite that might just be my favourite stop on the whole trip.

6–18 April 2027. I’ll be hosting every step of the way, so all you need to do is show up.

$9,200 twin share. Single room available on request.

Just 7 spots left — if this feels like your kind of trip, I’d love to have you.

Comment “SPAIN” and I’ll send you the full itinerary. 💛

We had a wonderful but very quick two days in London, revisiting the sights I never get sick of — Westminster, the Thames, beautiful old streets, my favourite neighbourhood where I spent several months in my 20s, the must-visit spots of Borough Market and Covent Garden, and of course strolling through London’s beautiful parks.

There’s something about London that always feels familiar, no matter how long it’s been between visits. So much history, so much energy, and always something new tucked in amongst the classics.

Short, busy and very London — exactly what I wanted.

It had been a long time between visits to Athens, and what a difference from what I remember.

For years Athens seemed to have a bit of a bad rap as gritty and unsafe — somewhere you flew into, saw the Acropolis, and moved on. But the city has had a real resurgence, and it feels completely different now.

It’s buzzing, clean, fun, interesting and full of energy. There are some amazing restaurants, rooftop bars, stylish little neighbourhoods and a real sense that the city is moving forward, while still being surrounded by some of the most extraordinary history and monuments in the world.

That mix of ancient and modern is what makes Athens so fascinating.

I loved being back and honestly wished we had longer. I can’t wait to return. 🇬🇷

Our last day in Paros was an absolute winner. We drove to the port and caught the car ferry 7 minutes to the absolutely heavenly Antiparos. Wow!! So beautiful. We drove straight to Soros Beach and spent the morning swimming in the gorgeous Mediterranean (I can never get enough of that magnificent sea). Lunch was at Captain Pepinos’s, a wonderful Greek tavern right on the water. Another delicious traditional lunch and a carafe of Rose and it was time to explore the gorgeous streets and buy the local coffee mug - one of my travel traditions (and do plenty of window shopping)
Don’t miss Antiparos on your trip to Paros. It will definitely be on all my itineraries.
