WBMs Back in the 1980's young adults in the West Beach area of Adelaide, South Australia, found themselves gathering at the Westies carpark .

The WBMs formed at West Beach, Adelaide in 1983. The founding members Mick Taylor, Sean Doody, BJ, Berney Willering, Steve Edwards and Shane Heaven would meet at the West Beach car park nightly to watch the sun set and ponder the surf conditions. The group soon grew to some 20 members, annoying the hell out of local residents, partying, kicking the footy around the car park and listening to Hard C

ore Punk music! Soon all the boys had cars and up to 10 panel vans and station wagons would fill the car park! Most weekends they would all drive to Yorke Peninsula to surf. The WBMs then met another like-minded group, The Mullers and Packers. Yorkes and the West Coast are still recovering today. After 30 plus years, we are scattered across the globe but still surf and party together.
