I don't think most women who cancel their solo trips have a destination problem. i think they have a plan problem.
you can hand someone the perfect list of sober friendly places and they still won't go, because the fear was never about where. it was about whether they trusted themselves to actually do it.
that's the whole reason i moved from destination advice to coaching.
do you agree, or do you think i'm wrong?πŸƒπŸ’š

"Stop cancelling your own trips. it's never really about the flight or the hotel. it's arrival nerves, the first solo dinner, being around alcohol at the bar, not knowing what to actually book. that's what we work through, before you go, not after you've talked yourself out of it again. link in bio if you want to see how it works.πŸƒπŸ™

I go first, always. Glen Innes trip, stopped at The Super Strawberry. i'm always paying attention to and on the lookout for alcohol-free options and inclusions, is there actually a choice, or just water and soft drink. turns out yes, a proper shelf of it, Norfolk Punch, ginger cordials, jelly snake cordial. not hidden away, not an afterthought. sat outside with ice cream and a NA drink and it just felt normal. nobody asked, nobody blinked.
this is why i test everything myself before i send a client there.πŸ₯°β€οΈ

What does sober solo travel coaching actually mean? Fair question, I get asked it a lot. πŸ€”
It's not trip planning. It's working through the specific thing that makes solo travel feel too big. Usually that's one of a few things: the arrival, eating alone in public, being around alcohol, or just not trusting yourself to follow through once it's booked.
We identify what's actually going on for you, build a plan for it, and if you want, rehearse the real itinerary together before you fly. ✈️
That's it. No forced confidence talk. πŸ’ͺ

the destination was never the real problem.
for years i was telling women where to go. good places, safe places, sober friendly places. but the real thing that stops most women isn't the destination, it's not knowing how to get themselves there. the fear before the flight. the first solo dinner. the "what if i can't do this."
so clear getaways travel isn't a trip planning page anymore. it's coaching for sober women who want to travel solo and actually feel steady doing it.
safe. sober. solo. i go first, always.

I realised my business was never really about places.
It was about helping women feel safe enough to go.
I still go first, but now the purpose is coaching sober solo women through the moments that make solo travel feel hard, overwhelming, or easy to talk yourself out of.
If that's you, you're in the right place.

3 stays. 2 weeks. resort, roadside motel, heritage b&b πŸŒ΄πŸ¨πŸ›οΈ
I didn't do this for the content, I did it for you.
Google reviews will tell you if the wifi works and the pillows are soft. They won't tell you if a sober solo woman can walk into that dining room alone and feel okay. They won't tell you if the car park feels safe at night when everyone around you is drinking and you're not. They won't tell you if the breakfast table makes you feel welcomed or put on the spot.
I go first, for real, so you don't have to guess.
🌴 Resort β†’ total privacy, zero social pressure, your own space to switch off
🏨 Roadside motel β†’ park at your door, low key, full control over your schedule
πŸ›οΈ Heritage B&B β†’ warmth and company if you're ready for connection
Three completely different trips, for three completely different women.
This is the exact reason Clear Getaways exists, and it's the bit you'll never find in a star rating.
If you're not sure which one is you yet, that's exactly what we work out together 🀍

this is what shows up when a sober woman says she's traveling solo.
not pretty. not polished. this is the reality behind sober solo travel and it's exactly why this work exists.
anyone can post a pretty vacay photo. anyone can join a group tour. but when you're sober and solo, alone in a new place, the fear is real and the stakes are real. there is nothing else out there built for exactly this.
that's why it has to be me. i go first. always.
if you've ever needed proof this life is possible, start with the free taste of beyond the mocktails, link in bio.

If you're a woman thinking about travelling solo now that you're sober, and you're not sure where to even start, this one's for you.
I was recently hosted overnight at Angourie Resort, and I wasn't there on holiday. I was there doing the work. Before I can tell any client "this place is safe, this place is good for you," I have to go first and check it myself. That's not a tagline for me, it's literally how I run Clear Getaways Travel
Honestly, I was a little taken aback when I arrived to a complimentary cheese board and ch*****ne, it's such a normal default in hospitality that most people wouldn't think twice. But it's exactly the kind of moment that reminds me why I do this. I brought my own alcohol free w**e instead, and that's the reality of solo sober travel, you learn to navigate these things and advocate for yourself, even when it's unexpected.
Dinner was at Tides restaurant on site, and the mocktails were genuinely beautiful, easily one of the better ones I've had. That said, beyond the mocktail list there weren't other non-alcoholic options on offer, which is worth knowing if you're someone who likes a few different choices on the night.
What did stand out was everything else. A quiet, beautifully kept property, thoughtful spa bath products, a genuinely warm welcome. And meeting Bridget, who runs the resort, who was completely open to understanding why these small details matter so much for sober travellers.
This is why I'm not a coach who read a book on sober travel. I live it. I've navigated the awkward moments, the assumptions, the fear of going somewhere alone for the first time. I know what it feels like because I've felt it. That's what I bring to every woman I coach, not theory, lived experience.
If you've been sitting on the idea of your first solo trip because it feels too big or too scary, this is your sign. You don't have to figure it out alone.
Safe. Sober. Solo. I go first, always.πŸ€—πŸƒ
