Walling Systems Pty Ltd is a small highly mobile firm involved in manufacturing and installation of precast and site cast tilt up concrete panels for a diversity of projects. Walling Systems specialize in the heavy industrial, mining and energy fields as well as the commercial sector, supplying panels for office and retail developments. Our project list is diverse and includes school buildings; po
lice cells; bridge abutments; retaining walls; mine shaft restoration work , truck service pits; entrance feature walls and houses. Walling Systems was formed in 1992 and one of the first projects undertaken was a 14 unit 2 storey tilt up housing development, Cavendish Court at Devon Park for the South Australian Housing Trust in 1993. This was followed by many large commercial developments in the metropolitan area such as the Woodcroft Market Plaza; the drama and technology centre at Ross Smith Secondary School; the drama centre at Freemont Elizabeth High School, apartments in Hurtle Square as well as various precast panels for police cells at Elizabeth and Christies Beach and at Berri, Kadina , Coober Pedy and other country locations. In 1997 and 1998 Walling Systems operated a precast yard in Woomera and provided panels for the first Olympic Dam expansion phase. Since then the company has been involved in a diversity of projects and operates throughout South Australia and in more remote areas such as the Ballera Gasfields in SW Queensland and also in the far north of WA. Our manufacturing base is located in the Barossa Valley however a large part of our work is done on site using tilt up concrete panels. Over the years Walling Systems have carried out many projects in the northern parts of the state particularly in Whyalla and Port Augusta. We have in the past transported panels from our Barossa premises to the various sites however we have been looking at establishing a base in Whyalla itself for some time now. To that end we have recently purchased an industrial block in Whyalla where we intend to base our manufacturing for the northern areas.
