Have you started to see an increase in people wearing lycra in town? The 2022 UCI Road World Championships starts on Saturday 17 September and we’re starting to see some international cyclists on our roads. To prepare for race week, make sure you know which roads will be closed so can get to where you need to be safely and on time. Leave extra travel time so you’re not caught out. Major roads like the M1, Memorial Drive and most of the Princes Highway will remain open throughout the week. Roads will be progressively opened once it’s safe to do so. Let’s work together to keep our community, riders and visitors safe.
