Apparently some rats like coolant. If your car or machinery have signs of rat activity try to leave everything as open as possible. Open bonnet and inspect before starting. The owner of this landcruiser was lucky it didn't lock up or crack a cylinder head. 1hdfte engine all cast iron so might have just saved it. Ive also seen a fan belt come off because a rat dropped in while engine was running causing the tractor to overheat. Eating air filters & wiring..no good comes from rats living in machinery

This is why your mechanic should be testing your coolant and changing when needed. Had to take the dash out of this colarado to replace the heater core after it started leaking. Very thin alloy and acid coolant ate through it. Bit of a memory test for where everything goes

Broken head bolt is probably why coolant and oil has been leaking out the front of this cummins engine. 14000 hours should expect a few things to wear out.

Hmm black diff oil is probably over 100 000km old. Less than 3L of oil isnt expensive to change occasionally compared to repair costs. Also automatic transmission fluid potentialy had 300000km on it. This vehicle was regularly serviced by a mechanic until things made the owner bring the vehicle to me. I don't believe in over servicing but some care goes a long way to making anything mechanical last a long time.

This hydraulic wood splitter ram is definitely due for a seal kit. Also finally setting up a trailer to do mobile hydraulic hose making and the odd repair. Not a great range of fittings but have a good selection of the common ones used on tractors & implements. Been a few broken hoses lately
