Japan visa fees have been revised to BDT 12,200 for single-entry visas and BDT 24,390 for multiple-entry visas for visa applications accepted by the Embassy on or after 1 July 2026. Visa fees are payable only upon visa issuance and must be paid in cash.

Note:

Bangladeshi nationals continue to be exempt from visa fees, as before.

Fee exemptions may also apply depending on the applicant's nationality and the purpose of travel.

The visa fee for Indian nationals remains unchanged at BDT 680.

For applicants who are required to pay a visa fee, the applicable amount will be determined in accordance with the visa fee schedule prescribed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Visa fees are established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan through ministerial ordinance and are not determined by the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh.
