Her Royal Highness is very excited seeing the packet of Fortified Rice manufactured by Igloo Foods Ltd.

Igloo Foods Ltd., a concern of Abdul Monem Ltd. is one of three World Food Programme (WFP) approved factory in the world to produce these kernels.

Rice is a staple food for half the world’s population, and can contribute as much as 70 percent of daily energy intake, particularly in developing countries. Fortifying rice has great potential to help fight hidden hunger on a large scale.

In this initiative, World Food Programme (WFP) with partners like Igloo Foods Ltd., are working to deliver fortified foods to the people we serve, promote the use of locally produced fortified foods, and advocate for fortification in national and international policy.

It was our privilege to that HRH Princess Sarah Zeid of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Lauren Landis, Director of Nutrition, WFP visited Bangladesh recently. In between her busy schedule, she visited the Fortified Rice Kernel Facility of Igloo Foods Limited, a concern of Abdul Monem Ltd.

From today, Igloo Foods Ltd. have started working with Robi Axiata Limited as part of a corporate agreement to provide innovative telecommunication services to all the employees of IFL.

Under this project, the employees and team members of Frozen Trading Unit, Frozen Processing Unit, Dry Foods Unit, Mango Pulp Unit and Fortified Rice Unit will get the digital services to optimize their day to day operations and sales activities.

Yesterday a Training Session took place at our corporate head office, Monem Business District, where the sales team of our frozen process unit - took part.

The team were introduced with latest and innovative sales automation devices and apps, through which we will be able to provide the best service to the frozen foods lover of Bangladesh.

We have initiated a pilot project of one month from today.
