Today reminded us what hospitality really means.
Our Italian guests had planned to explore Old Dhaka. But relentless rain left much of the city flooded, with water reaching waist level in some areas. Our vehicle got stuck, and for safety reasons we cancelled the tour and immediately offered a 100% refund.
A little later, our guests sent us a message:
"The rain may stop at any moment. We are here in Bangladesh for only one day. Let's see whatever we can."
So our guide went back to their hotel, and together we found another way. No car, no shortcuts—just a rickshaw moving through the flooded streets of Dhaka. Even when the rickshaw got stuck, our guide got down and pushed it through the water so our guests could continue their journey.
They left with smiles, and we finished the day with proud hearts.
Tourism has never been just about money for us. Every guest who visits Bangladesh trusts us with their limited time, and the way we treat them becomes part of the way they remember our country.

Oggi ci ha ricordato cosa significa davvero l'ospitalità.
I nostri ospiti italiani volevano visitare la Vecchia Dhaka, ma una pioggia torrenziale ha causato gravi allagamenti in tutta la città. La nostra auto è rimasta bloccata e, per motivi di sicurezza, abbiamo annullato il tour offrendo immediatamente un rimborso completo.
Poco dopo, però, i nostri ospiti ci hanno scritto:
"Forse la pioggia smetterà presto. Siamo in Bangladesh solo per un giorno. Vogliamo vedere il più possibile."
Così la nostra guida è tornata in hotel e abbiamo trovato un'altra soluzione: un risciò tra le strade allagate di Dhaka. Quando il risciò si è fermato nell'acqua, la nostra guida lo ha persino spinto per permettere agli ospiti di continuare il loro viaggio.
Per noi il turismo non è solo un lavoro. Ogni ospite porta con sé un ricordo del Bangladesh, e noi vogliamo che sia un ricordo speciale.

আজকের দিনটা আমাদের আবারও মনে করিয়ে দিল, আতিথেয়তা আসলে কী।
আজ আমাদের ইতালির অতিথিদের নিয়ে পুরান ঢাকা ঘোরার পরিকল্পনা ছিল। কিন্তু মুষলধারে বৃষ্টিতে ঢাকার অনেক জায়গায় কোমরসমান পানি জমে যায়। আমাদের গাড়িও জলাবদ্ধতায় আটকে যায়। তাই নিরাপত্তার কথা ভেবে আমরা ট্যুর বাতিল করি এবং সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ১০০% রিফান্ড অফার করি।
কিছুক্ষণ পর অতিথিরা আবার আমাদের নক করে বললেন,
"বৃষ্টি যে কোনো সময় কমতে পারে। আমরা বাংলাদেশে মাত্র একদিনের জন্য এসেছি। যতটুকু সম্ভব, ততটুকুই দেখতে চাই।"
তারপর আমাদের গাইড আবার হোটেলে ফিরে গেল। গাড়ি নয়, রিকশায় করেই শুরু হলো তাদের ঢাকা ভ্রমণ। এমনকি রিকশাও যখন পানিতে আটকে গেল, তখন আমাদের গাইড নিজেই নেমে রিকশা ঠেলে পথ চলা চালিয়ে গেল।
ওরা হাসিমুখে ঢাকা দেখেছে, আর আমরা আনন্দ পেয়েছি আমাদের দেশের অতিথিদের ইচ্ছেটুকু পূরণ করতে পেরে।
আমাদের কাছে ট্যুরিজম শুধু ব্যবসা নয়। একজন অতিথি আমাদের দেশকে যতটা দেখেন, তার চেয়েও বেশি মনে রাখেন আমরা তাকে কেমন ব্যবহার করেছি।
আমাদের অসাধারণ গাইডদের জন্য অনেক ভালোবাসা ও শ্রদ্ধা। আপনারাই প্রতিদিন বাংলাদেশের প্রকৃত প্রতিনিধি। 🇧🇩❤️
