The final countdown to the PPWR has begun.

As the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) becomes applicable on 12 August 2026, FEFCO is ready to support its members in preparing for compliance.

From that date, the applicable requirements include:

✔️ PFAS and heavy metals requirements (Article 5)
✔️ Recyclability requirements (Article 6)
✔️ Packaging identification and traceability requirements (Article 15(5))

FEFCO has developed guidance and communication materials to help members navigate these new obligations.
