There are restaurants and there are OMG! Ones. .tahiti was one such experience. Hubby was embarrassed by my fan girl moment. Never knew sauerkraut could taste that good. We had Opah made two different ways. Must try this place in Papeete. They wonderfully blended local Polynesian food with French making it so unique.

Before I forget, have to mention the absolutely awesome dinner in Faa’a
We had pan seared foi gras with Mango purée, curried octopus carpaccio and poisson du cru Japanese style. Have a food hangover today. Service was excellent, ambience was great and central.

Trip of a lifetime…French Polynesia. We flew from Houston to San Francisco, then to Papeete. Spent the night there to get over travel exhaustion and jet lag. The next day flew to Bora Bora for a few days. It’s a short 45 minute flight, with open seating. Flying domestic was fun in Tahiti 🤣

A quick escape to the Hill Country is never a bad idea. It’s romantic, cute, and fun. Check out the shopping in this small town.
We tried food at and at Community Pizza and B**r Garden. All great choices with some of them sourcing local.
