When Janina Laine joined Euroports Finland as a summer trainee in 2020, she didnโ€™t know where the journey would lead. By taking on responsibilities and learning on the job, she steadily built her expertise.

Today, she works as a Cargo Claims Specialist, helping improve operational quality and manage cargoโ€‘related challenges.

Nicolรฒ Caroldi joined Euroports Italy in 2023 as an intern after completing a professional qualification in port logistics. He started by supporting shipping activities and gaining first-hand experience in the operational environment of Terminal Rinfuse Venezia.

Over time, he developed new skills and applied what he had learned in his studies directly in the field and in terminal operations.

Today, Nicolรฒ is an Operations Specialist, supporting the Land Operations Office in managing and coordinating daily operational activities.

When Nadia Perez joined Euroports France in 2023 as Procurement Support, she quickly became involved in operational projects, including the Port-La-Nouvelle offshore wind development. Working closely with teams on the ground, she expanded her scope and gained a broader understanding of operations.

Today, she is Administrative Coordinator, supporting both Procurement and Facilities.

โ€œI first joined to support procurement, but as I became involved in various port projects, my role naturally expanded. Being exposed to the reality of operations and the teamsโ€™ need for responsiveness pushed me to adapt, learn fast, and take on new responsibilities. After years of close collaboration and ongoing discussions, we are proud to announce that together with our customer Mecklenburger Metallguss GmbH and its partner Hanseatic Solutions, we have successfully established Rostock as the permanent gateway for all propeller shipments via the Euroports General Cargo Terminal.

Handling multiple of these impressive large-scale propellers in one vessel operation is a complex logistical challenge โ€” exactly the kind of challenge we at Euroports embrace.

With the successful operation on April 29, 2026, we once again demonstrated what we do best:

Uwe Ahrens began his journey in Rostock with an apprenticeship in warehouse management and cargo handling. Over the years, he progressed through multiple roles โ€” from Team Leader to Operations Coordinator โ€” before becoming Operations Manager.

His career reflects decades of hands-on experience and continuous development.
