Join us in our trip to Durbuy, known as the smallest city and also the Hotton Caves.This are today the only ones to be classified by the Monuments and Sites Commission. The network reaches 65 meters deep by connecting wells, rooms and galleries. The visit leads all the way down into a huge underground fault. It's fantastic and very impressive. One of the rooms is the largest known to date in Belgium. a course 3 times longer and twice as deep allows you to contemplate the extraordinary variety of shapes and colors of the concretions of the cave. You will descend 65m underground to discover an underground river and climb 30m on foot and 35m by elevator.

Join us in our new trip to Durbuy known as the smallest town in the world and the largest topiary garden open to the public.
We are going also to visit an outstanding natural heritage site of Wallonia the Caves of Hotton. That are the only ones fully classified with Two Michelin stars. Just behind the caves' entrance building, take time for a walk in the garden. A 15 minutes walk will bring you to a beautiful panoramic view.

NEW in Europe and want to explore? SHAPE Trips & Tours will help you. We offer affordable group trips and tours, mainly in Europe and on Saturdays. We plan the trips, and you can enjoy -no driving, no hassle, no research for you - we do it all. We do not book individual travel but will gladly help your organization/unit build a great trip.

Some of our trips are transportation only. We drop you off and the time is yours to explore at your leisure. Some are guided tours of castles, museums, historical sites, and more. We visit popular cities such as Paris, London, and Amsterdam as well as lesser-known places. Our trips are advertised on our page, in the SHAPE Community Life magazine, on AFN Radio, and with our posters and flyers in various locations throughout the base. For more information, call on SHAPE ext. 423-3884 (or land line 065 44 3884), or come by our Trips and Tours office in the Community Activity Centre, Bldg. 307.

Trips are open to all SHAPE/NATO ID cardholders and their guests. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Bancontact, and Euro. Alternatively, you can also charge your reservations to your credit card over the telephone.
