🤔 What has the EU Cycling Group (EUCG) 🚴♀️ been doing during the 1st half of 2024?
We have spent our free time advocating for:
✔ the use of the bicycle to commute to work among the EU institutions staff, with joined-up transport, especially bikes on trains, trams and the metro; and support better bicycle parking, theft-prevention, and improved amenities including showers;
✔ air quality in locations of the EU institutions;
✔ safe cycling conditions on frequently used commutes;
✔ Velomai!
We cooperate systematically with the local authorities and other cycling organisations to promote a more bicycle-friendly environment.
We have a special message for those living in , in particular those in : All our efforts mean little if we do not vote in the upcoming local elections on 13 October 2024.
You need to register to vote before 31 July 2024 (if not done in the past) or you will not be able to vote at all.
If you care about active mobility as much as we do in the city that has become our home, have a say. Your voting rights in your country of origin (national, regional, EU) are not affected.
This link has all the instructions you need to follow. If you do it online, it takes less than 5 minutes: https://bit.ly/3EAwL0l
If you still have doubts, we highly recommend that you check the fantastic work done by Brussels Commissioner for Europe and International Organisations, VoteBrussels and restless.brussels.
Have a very nice summer! 🏖
