Celebrating 15 Years of Pangolin Photo Safaris!
Every great journey begins with a single moment.
For us, it began around a campfire in January 2011, when Gerhard "Guts" Swanepoel and Toby Jermyn met for the very first time. They left that evening not only infused with the scent of mopane smoke, but with the spark of an idea that would become Pangolin Photo Safaris.
They agreed there was only one place to bring that vision to life, and that was The Chobe River, in Botswana.
And just eight short months after that first meeting, the boat you see in this picture was launched.
Fifteen years on, we've welcomed thousands of photographers, explored some of Africa’s (and the world's) most spectacular wilderness areas, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary people who have joined us along the way. From our dedicated management team, guides, photo hosts, skippers, hospitality team and office staff to the many talented individuals who continue to share our vision today. You are the heart of Pangolin Photo Safaris. Your passion, commitment and friendship have shaped who we are and made this journey possible. Thank you!
And to every guest who has travelled with us over the past 15 years, thank you for trusting us with your photo safari adventure. You have become part of the Pangolin family, and we are truly grateful for your support.
Here's to the next chapter, more unforgettable moments, and many more years of sharing Africa (and beyond) through the lens.
